Our Clinic is Located in the Heart of Abbotsford Next to ARHCC. We serve Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Aldergrove, Hope, Agassiz and surrounding areas in the Fraser Valley.
All patients require a referral from their General Practitioner/ Family Doctor or Specialist. The referrals can be faxed directly to our office with pertinent information including reason for consult, X-ray imaging, consultant reports, bloodwork, pertinent diagnostic testing. Private patients and out of province patients require a referral from an actively practicing physician in British Columbia.
If more than 6 months has passed from your last assessment and you are in need of an appointment then please contact your GPs office to arrange for a Re-referral.
All appointments must be confirmed at least 48 hours in advance. If for some reason you are unable to make it to your appointment you may request changing to telemedicine and you have the option of cancelling the apt if 48H notice is given. It is the patients responsibility ensure that all of their appointments are confirmed. For missed appointments there may a protocol for rebooking including a no-show fee.
Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes in advance. Wear loose fitting clothing. Please bring all medications and or an updated list to your appointment. A medication review is mandatory with every physician encounter. Initial consults are about 30 minutes focused around the reason for the consult from the GP. Follow-up visits are shorter in duration usually about 15minutes.
We find that Telemedicine is helpful for urgent assessments, patients with travel issues, patients wanting re-assessment/ medication refills.
The expectation from the Consultant is to discharge the care back to the Primary Team once the patient is stabilized. Once your arthritis comes under control ultimately you may be discharged back to your family doctor for continuing care.
You are able to get your medications refilled on every appointment with Dr. Gill. If you are running out of medications between visits please contact your GP for any medication refills.
We do not accept email communication at this time due to privacy concerns. Please contact the office directly via phone if you have any queries, questions or need further communication.
